Creativity and talent were definitely in the “Stars” here at PHS.  Pacifica High School held a dance contest, Dancing with the Pacifica Stars. Talent filled the PAC with our PHS Tritons performing some great dance pieces. The winners were Gisselle Miranda-Vasquez and Socrates Perez. Great job to all our students who participated.

The Triton Marching Band and Color Guard have had a very busy and successful season thus far! At Friday night football, the Band and Guard have been pumping up the fans and football team with great music and a few cheers!  In between the regular season home football games, the Band and Guard have also performed at Back to School night and the Homecoming rally.  By special invitation,  our Triton Marching Band and Color Guard performed with the UCLA Bruins Marching Band and Color Guard for Bands Day 2019.  Over thirty Band and Guard teams from across Southern California were selected to perform during the half-time event.  Way to go Band and Guard!
Our World Music students concluded a unit on Native American music and culture. Students learned about the Navajo, Chumash and Northwest Coast tribes.  The unit featured the healing ceremonies of the Navajo and various Native American dances. At the conclusion of the unit, students got to create their own Native American rattle!
