PHS students packed the gym on Monday October 14th for four straight hours as we celebrated Indigenous Peoples’ Day at Triton Land. PHS Tritons learned to honor, respect, and appreciate our Indigenous Peoples for their resiliency and contributions to America!!!



Girls Volleyball held their Senior Night this week. Huge thank you to everyone who came out and showed some love for the last time!

Pacifica had a hard loss this past Friday against Oxnard High School. Win, lose, or draw, PHS will always love our Triton football team. The boys played hard every single snap, demonstrated resilience and sportsmanship, and admirably represented EAST Oxnard. One game will not define us. Forks up! The best is yet to come.


Mr. Shettler’s class worked on their garden this week. Students picked tomatoes and they also replanted avocado trees grown from pits in compost from their compost bins. 


Pacifica High School’s Homecoming will be held next Friday and Saturday, October 25 & 26. This year’s theme is “Havana Nights.” Homecoming elections were held on Tuesday, with the court being announced next week. Tickets for the Homecoming Dance are currently on sale until next Thursday. Our rally will be held in the gym next Friday during 4th period, we will introduce the court and fall sports, have performances from cheer, dance, and band, as well as a have a few games.The dance on the 26th will be held in the gym from 8pm to 11pm.

On Thursday October 17th, Pacifica High School participated in the Great California Shakeout.  All 3,200+ students and staff dropped, covered and held on during the earthquake drill.  Counselor Victor Farias seemed really into it.
