PARENT NEWS

COFFEE & DONUTS WITH PRINCIPAL

On Friday September 27th, PHS hosted the first Coffee & Donuts with the Principal. This is a chance for all parents and community members to enjoy some breakfast treats while talking to Principal Lawrence about events happening at the school and other questions, comments and concerns. We had the largest turn out with 27 parents present and 18 of them were there for the first time. 

ACADEMY NEWS

HEALTH SCIENCE ACADEMY (HSA)-Juniors

HSA Juniors completed their clinical skills lab of suturing last Friday. Thank you to Teresa Hong, Nurse Practitioner & Mira Shishim, PA, for running the lab today!

HEALTH SCIENCE ACADEMY (HSA)-Field Day

All cohorts in HSA, participated in our annual field day this week. Senior captains lead their mixed grade level teams in a variety of team building activities. Congratulations to the yellow team for their victory!

The sauce is cooking in Mr. Shettler’s class.  Almost every ingredient is from their garden. 

SPORTS NEWS

Another AMAZING night to be a Triton. PHS Super Fan Club was on point and our Varsity boys played great!  We can add another W to our record! PHS 62 – Thousand Oaks 7

COUNSELING NEWS

In collaboration with College & Career Center director Mrs. Castellanos, UC Early Academic Outreach Counselor Josh Tirado & the PHS Econ/Gov classes  For the past 2 weeks Counseling department every senior has an individual graduation & post high school plan.  Seniors were provided with all important dates including FAFSA/DREAM ACT application workshops, community college application workshops, UC & CSU application workshops, college entrance exam dates & preparation strategies.  Additionally, all seniors that are not on track for graduation were provided with an individual credit recovery plan.
