Good Job!

On April 2nd, Pacifica was welcoming and helping parents enroll their incoming 9th grade students! Welcome class of 2023!

Some 9th grade Earth/Space Science classes attended the California Science Center which included a tour of the Space Shuttle Endeavor.

On Tuesday,  March 26 , 2019,  a group of Japanese students and teachers from Nagasaki Kita High School visited Pacifica High School to experience a day in the life of an American student.  The day began with a meet and greet at the flag pole and then a campus tour.  PHS students from athletics and  the dance department volunteered to be buddies.  Our visitors shadowed their buddy for the day and were treated to a hip hop class lead by advanced dance students.   It was a day of great interaction between students from two very different cultures.    PHS student Josh Carranza stated, “I thought Japanese students were so serious, but my buddy would make funny faces to make me laugh.”

Lots of Academic Letters, Lamps, and Bars given out to Tritons who have maintained a 3.75+ GPA for 2, 4, or 6 Semesters. King Triton’s trident represents Academics, the Arts, and Athletics. Keep up the great work Tritons!

Pacifica High School had a fieldtrip to Oxnard College on Friday, April 5, 2019.  One hundred seniors attended this fieldtrip to help students get ready to register for fall 2019 classes.  Students had an opportunity to meet with Oxnard College counselors and go over their individual educational plan. In addition they had an orientation in which they had an opportunity to become familiar with the campus and programs offered.

Another great session of “Coffee with the Principal” on Friday March 29th . Principal Lawrence’s featured guests were Josh Brown, who discussed Measure A progress, and Pacifica’s Attendance Adviser, Rogelio Jimenez.
