ACADEMY NEWS

HEALTH SCIENCE ACADEMY

A small group of HSA students were invited to attend the 10th anniversary of Master the Disaster. Students sat among medical professionals to learn about community preparedness to disasters.

CODE ACADEMY

PHS Code Academy had a great day at the AVSOC and NAWCWD learning about SAT operations naval air warfare, internships and jobs.

PEER RESOURCE

 PHS Peer Resource is doing  a great job keeping up the social emotional learning here at Pacifica High School. Keep up that P.B.I.S. attitude!

 

STUDENT NEWS

ENGLISH INTERVIEWS

Ms. Allison Holicky held a mock interviews in her English class on Wednesday, February 27. Congrats to Julio and Michael on being most “hire-able” and a huge thank you to all of the staff who gave up precious morning time to interview these kiddos.

CONTEST WINNER

Liliana Gomez was presented her ACSA Essay Contest Awards tonight for her essay about how Coach Daw has inspired her.

UNIFIED BASKETBALL

Last week, over 2800 students, staff members, and cheerleaders packed the gym to watch the PHS Unified team take on the Buena Bulldogs. Everyone involved was positively impacted by this epic experience.

COUNSELOR NEWS

This week, counselors finished going out to the feeder schools. Counselors registering over 750 incoming freshmen.

Boys State Interviews were held this week. 2 outstanding boys interviewed. Interviews were positive, fun and competitive, thanks to teacher nominations.

Elijah Mendoza was chosen as the 2019 PHS delegate. Oscar Orozco was chosen as the alternate, in the event the delegate cannot attend.

TEACHER NEWS

Some of our amazing English Teachers went to the CATE conference in San Francisco this past weekend. They represented Pacifica High School proudly and brought back some great information to share with the English Department!

 

WELCOME CLASS OF 2023

The Triton Familia was out in force as welcomed the Class of 2023 and their parents to our campus this week.
