PHS Athletics Mission Statement

The mission of the Pacifica High School Athletic Department is to foster skills necessary for our student-athletes to succeed in academics, athletic competition, and most of all, in life.

Here at PHS, the athletic-department, with the support our dedicated administrators, teachers, and support-staff, are always working to find ways to improve our academic achievement while excelling in athletic competition. Increasing athletic eligibility stands as a top priority for our athletic department.

As a department, we continue to Pursue Victory with Honor and emphasize those characteristics as part of our sports programs. We also promote a unified Triton Athletic Department where coaches and staff work together for the benefit of our athletes.

Though a young school and still establishing Triton Traditions, we are striving to maintain a lifelong relationship with our Alumni. In addition, Pacifica High School has developed partnerships with local youth programs and community members.

Athletics Policies

Student-athletes at Pacifica High School must be academically eligible with a GPA of at least 2.0 and passing at least 20 semester credits. They must be well-behaved at all times and realize that athletic participation is a privilege, not a right. They are to be always respectful to teachers, coaches, officials, opponents, and classmates. In addition, Pacifica High School's student-athletes are expected to be drug and alcohol free.

Pursuing Victory with Honor

Pacifica High School enthusiastically supports the CIF's emphasis on sportsmanship through the "Pursuing Victory with Honor" program. The programs' philosophy is founded in fairness, caring, honesty, citizenship, respect, and trustworthiness. To find out more about this program and its expectations for students, coaches, parents, and administrators, please visit the state CIF's website or the Southern Section website.
